From my shoot yesterday! It was windy as hell, I had to get there on public transport with 5 balloons (which was like carrying wildcats in a sack) - I got hit in the head numerous times (luckily for me they were just filled with air), got beeped at at the tram stop, lots of odd stares and bumped into a lot of people carrying all my bags with the balloons.
I need a minion. The other reason I need a minion is to stab annoying people in the groin. We shot at Luna Park (I know, sunny weather for the first time in months, it was packed) and if I had a dollar for every time we got stared and pointed at, had a rude comment, or worse, people coming up asking to be in the photo or have a photo taken with the model I would be very well off. (My response was my rates are 200 an hour, so's the model's so if you want to pay that, sure you can jump in the photo!) We had a woman approach Hannah for a photo whilst I was checking my camera, all distracted - Hannah said yes - cue 10 minutes of this ridiculous Indian woman posing for numerous shots with her mouth 2 centimetres away from Hannah's neck - she said "you're a fairy, I'm a vampire" and proceeded to pretend to be sucking her blood. With this woman came other people asking for photos - I told them no very hastily. So yes, people ARE as stupid as you give them credit for. We got told off by some guy who seemed to be in charge for 'not asking permission' - I had no external light set up. I was not preventing people from walking. I did not stop any rides. Why the hell should I have to ask permission when 90% of people there have a camera? Just because my model is dressed up? Apparently I was 'causing a fuss' - this is because everyone at Luna Park are retarded busybodies who have nothing better to do than display just how annoying they can be - this is not my fault! I was soo ready to punch someone in the face. But I got some awesome shots. That is my consolation (and intended plan). Model: Hannah Rowlands [link] MUA: Phoebe Phillips [link], who did an amazing job Wardrobe and styling: Me! I'll post a photo of the full outfit later, but I made this poofy skirt and got a plain top from the op-shop that I dressed up and I made the fascinator thing Fairy Floss is tasty, folks. The pinkness makes it all the better. Part II & III: Comments
I took photos yesterday, it was windy as hell in Bendigo, and it felt like it was 30 degrees, and cos we were doing mock up wedding photos, people kept coming up saying congrats, but we didn't have a groom so it would of looked weird to them lol
I've been meaning to work with Hannah, i love the colour scheme, and how its been processed, i love it -- I can't colour enough, I could colour all day everyday if i had my way, i would use every crayon in my box This is so yummy I think I could eat the image. Beautiful work as always honey!
